FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about AFOQS
What is AFOQS Opsec Lookup?
AFOQS Opsec Lookup is a free OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) tool that provides access to 40+ intelligence APIs for educational and research purposes. It aggregates data from various sources including gaming servers, network intelligence, security breaches, social media platforms, and more.
Is this tool free to use?
Yes, absolutely! All 40+ endpoints are completely free to use. There are no hidden costs, premium tiers, or usage limits beyond standard rate limiting to prevent abuse.
What kind of data can I look up?
You can look up:
Gaming: FiveM servers, Roblox, Steam, Minecraft
Network: IP geolocation, Shodan data, BGP ASN, WHOIS
Either select a preset from the dropdown menu (organized by category), or manually type an endpoint path. If you select a preset, a query field will appear for you to enter your search term (IP, username, domain, etc.). Click "Run Lookup" to execute the query.
What do the response formats mean?
By default, responses are shown in a human-readable "summary" view that highlights key information. You can toggle to raw JSON format by clicking "View raw JSON" above the response area. The summary view includes color-coding for risk scores, clickable links, and formatted dates.
Is my search private?
Your queries are sent directly to the respective third-party APIs. While we don't log your searches, you should be aware that some APIs may log queries. For sensitive investigations, consider using a VPN or Tor. Always review each API's privacy policy.
Why am I seeing "401 Unauthorized"?
This usually means the API key has expired or is invalid. Some endpoints may require periodic key rotation. If you consistently see 401 errors, please join our Discord server for updates on API key status.
Can I use this for doxxing or harassment?
Absolutely not. This tool is provided strictly for educational purposes, security research, and legitimate threat intelligence. Using it for doxxing, stalking, harassment, or any illegal activity violates our Terms of Service and may result in legal consequences. See the Terms modal for full details.
How do I get help or report an issue?
Join our Discord server (see the widget on the right) and post in the support channel. You can also check for updates on the developer's socials (link in header). Please include the endpoint name and any error messages when reporting issues.
What does OPSEC stand for?
OPSEC stands for Operations Security. It's a process used to protect sensitive information from being gathered by adversaries. In the context of OSINT, OPSEC awareness helps researchers understand what information is publicly available and how it might be used against individuals or organizations.
